All the Lovers in the Night

Fuyuko lives a quiet life, working as a freelance proofreader and keeping mostly to herself. She follows a ritual she has made her own: walking alone through the city at midnight. Then she meets Mitsutsuka, a reserved physics teacher, at a local culture center. A simple exchange about light leads to regular meetings at a café, and something tentative begins to grow between them. Two solitary people, each carrying what they cannot quite put into words, find themselves slowly drawn into one another’s orbit.
