Memory of Princess Mumbi
Damien Hauser
In 2093, Kuve, a young filmmaker, travels to the remote kingdom of Umata to document life after a war that outlawed modern technology. As he begins working with Mumbi, a local actress and future princess, the film begins to slip — away from its subject, toward a fleeting moment in which everything feels timeless and peaceful, even as their paths pull them in opposite directions.

Harmonica
Amir Naderi
After a young boy receives a harmonica as present from abroad, his friends compete for the privilege of holding it or even blowing a few notes. This beautiful, at times comic and at times very cruel portrayal of childhood and power play is a rather unique cinematographic depiction of the sublime Persian Gulf area – in the far South of Iran.

All the Lovers in the Night
Yukiko Sode
Fuyuko lives a quiet life, working as a freelance proofreader and keeping mostly to herself. She follows a ritual she has made her own: walking alone through the city at midnight. Then she meets Mitsutsuka, a reserved physics teacher, at a local culture center. A simple exchange about light leads to regular meetings at a café, and something tentative begins to grow between them. Two solitary people, each carrying what they cannot quite put into words, find themselves slowly drawn into one another’s orbit.
